Embeds: Releasing Content to Learners from Embedded URLs

Overview

Embedding content in ConveYour allows you to enhance lessons with images, text, files, and external links. This feature is useful for:

  • Displaying relevant articles, graphs, or multimedia.

  • Assigning learners tasks based on external resources.

  • Providing audio, video, or interactive content from other platforms.

Use Cases for Embedded Content

  • Display a graph, table, or image that users can expand or zoom in on.

  • Embed an audio clip from platforms like SoundCloud.

  • Include a relevant article from an external source.

  • Link to an interactive map or reference a website without copying its content.

  • Embed external or internal URLs for additional resources.

How to Add an Embedded URL to a Lesson

Step 1: Add the Embed URL Lesson Item

  • Navigate to Main Menu > Lessons and select a lesson or create a new one.

  • Drag and drop the Embed URL lesson item into the Lesson.

Step 2: Paste the URL

  • Copy the full URL from your browser, ensuring it includes "https://".

  • Paste it into the "URL to embed" field.

Step 3: Save and Test

  • Click Done Editing and Save the lesson.

  • Test the embed to confirm that:

    • The page loads correctly.

    • The featured image and meta description appear (if available).
