SMS Notifications

With the SMS Notification automation, you can keep your leaders informed on the progress of contacts via text messages. This means managers, recruiters, or HR teams can be notified when people on their team hit your desired benchmarks, like completing training.

Use Cases

Here are a few examples of how to use SMS Notifications:

  • Send a text to an onboarding specialist when an onboardee has signed their rep agreement

  • Send a text to a manager reminding them that a rep is coming in for an interview in 1 hr.

  • Let a manager know that a rep hasn’t completed required training

  • Let a manager know when a rep has completed non-required training in order to recognize the rep with a “Let’s Go!!!”

So how do you implement?

How to Implement

How to Set Up SMS Notifications in a Campaign

  1. Open the desired Campaign.

  2. Click the Content section dropdown.

  3. Drag and drop SMS Notification from the left panel into the workflow editor.

  4. Click the SMS Notification element.

  5. Enter a name for the notification.

  6. Select the contacts to notify via text. Contacts are limited to those assigned to the team. Use related contacts to notify individuals directly associated with a contact. Learn more about related contacts.

  8. Review and Launch the automation.

How to Set Up SMS Notification Automations

Example use case: Notify managers or recruiters when a group of contacts completes training.

  1. Create a group based on your conditions, such as “Completed Lesson” or “Status is Complete.”

  2. Click the Automations tab.

  3. Click Create next to the SMS Notification automation type.

  4. Select your group.

  5. Set the Start At time:

    • To run the automation daily, select "Run once for current contacts in group and all added contacts until the automation is paused or stopped."

    • Automations run from the selected Start Time until 12 AM, then resume the next day at the same time to avoid sending messages overnight.

  6. Select the contacts to notify, specific contacts and/or related contacts.

  7. Add placeholders to the SMS body as needed.

  8. Review and launch the automation.
